Wels

Wels are another city to publicly confirm that they have bid ahead of tonights deadline. Their proposal is to host the contest at the Messe Wels, which can host 11,000 people.

The city’s Mayor, Peter Koits, said that despite being outsiders they have hope at bringing the contest to their city

I am pleased that Wels is in the race to host the Eurovision Song Contest 2015. Of course we are aware of our position as an outsider, but I still see a realistic chance of winning the right to host the contest.

Pete has followed the Eurovision Song Contest since the early 2000s. He joined the ESCToday team in November 2013, and attended his first contest live in 2015.
