Eurovision 2015: Complications in the venue search

The day Austria won the Eurovision Song Contest, talks were beginning, and preparations started for hosting the Eurovision Song Contest. But even at this early a stage, complications in the venue search are leaving people to question: Where will the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 be held?

One of the front-runners in the search, the Stadehalle in Vienna, has no less than 18 events scheduled within the required takeover date that Austrian broadcaster ORF outlined over a week ago. This would offer an ideal location to host the event due to the size, location to the city centre, and multiple smaller halls on-site to house the press centre, dressing rooms, and more.

The other potential venue in Vienna, the Messe Wien, will also play host to an international conference for 10,000 liver doctors during the required takeover dates.

While the conflicts within these two venues does not rule out Vienna or these locations as hosts, it will certainly make the decision a harder one. Salzburg Governor Wilfried Haslauer recently stated that the competition would not be held in his city as the event does not fit within the art forms they would like to promote.
