Complete timetable for Nordic Preview shows

As earlier reported by esctoday.com YLE has decided to do their own preview shows this year which means that the Nordic previews done together with SVT, NRK, RUV and DR will be shown in Finland on the Swedish-speaking channel SVT5. The first of the four shows will be on tonight. Esctoday.com presents to you the full timetable for these Nordic Previews.

This is the annual event where all the five Nordic countries get together shortly before the Eurovision Song Contest. Christer Björkman who represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1992 hosts the shows which will be produced by SVT in collaboration with NRK, DR, RUV and YLE. All the preview videos will be presented for the viewers in four shows and the experts will comment on all songs and award each of them with points from 1 to 5.

Each country has chosen an expert to represent them. There are two changes to the list of experts. Per Sundnes will represent Norway after NRK fired their legendary Jostein Pedersen who was famous for his comments and the fact that he was quite often the one disliking a song the most. In many ways he was rightfully compared with BBC’s Terry Wogan. The second change is Denmark where it will be Adam Duvå Hall, host of the Danish final 2006 and 2007.
From Sweden it is once again Charlotte Perrelli, also known as Charlotte Nilsson who won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1999 with Take me to your heaven and Thomas Lundin will as usual represent Finland. For Iceland we have the special situation that Eirikur Hauksson is one of the participants in the Eurovision Song Contest this year as well as a judge on the Nordic panel.

Esctoday.com is soon able to bring an interview with Eirikur about this special situation and on Friday you can read a longer article about the first of the four preview shows. All the shows will be broadcasted in all 5 Nordic countries, but it is up to each country to decide their own timetable. Esctoday.com has decided to follow the schedule from the main producer, SVT which means that our article will be published Friday evening in relation to the Swedish and the Icelandic broadcast.
