Nikki French (UK 2000), Baby Doll (Yugoslavia 1991) and Christine Argyri (Cyprus 2000 in duet with Alex Panayi)
Have confirmed their participation at the International Songcontest 2002 in Malta, which take place at 25-26 October.


Other artists who also confirmed their participation are: Luminita Anghel (Romanian National Songcontest 2000 and 2002), Alice from Czech Republic and Marat Serbayet from Kazachstan.
Countries who didn`t confirm their participation are: Slovenia, Turkey, Bulgaria and Lithuania.

The 10 international singers will conquer each other for the titel: Best International Singer from the Maltese International Songfcontest. Here are the participating countries in running order:
1. Slovenia, 2. Kazachstan, 3.UK,
4. Czech Republic, 5. Yugoslavia, 6. Turkey, 7. Romania, 8. Bulgaria, 9. Lithuania and 10. Cyprus.

12 other Maltese artists will take part too, but in another category. The commitment decided the deadline is at September 3rd. The deadline of the 12 Maltese songs will be soon after that.

Past year`s winner: Georgina – “Fomm il-Vjolin” (Lyrics: Deo Grech; Music: Andrew Zahra) won in category: Best Nationale Singer, while �Ian Moore� (UK) won the titel: Best International Singer.
