Kenan Dogulu kicked off his promotional tour with a concert last Saturday in Amsterdam at the Sand entertainment park. The Sand was bursting with 3000 visitors that came to see their idol. Kenan entertained them for close to three hours; esctoday.com was there.
Concert Review
Kenan’s contemporary music is a rich mix of different musical genres. For over three hours the artist presented his musical talents to his enthusiastic public. With the assistance of a live orchestra and three vocalists he performed songs from his last album "Festival", as well as from his previous albums. Beginning with Turkey’s 2007 Eurovision entry Shake it up shekerim, the artist sang more than 25 songs. The audience jumped onto their feet, and Kenan’s performance at the concert gave the visitors a hint of what is to come in Helsinki.
When Kenan performed Shake it up shekerim, the public started to yell in excitement. Three thousand young and old, Turkish and non-Turkish fans moved all night long and sang together with him. Kenan’s charming jests and mimics while he was singing Cakkidi and Ex askim (My ex love) made the public laugh in pleasure. And one of Kenan’s older songs Kursun adres sormazki made many of them shed tears. Due to the public's wish Kenan ended his concert with a repeat of his Song Contest entry Shake it up shekerim.
