The historic hosting of the Eurovision Song Contest is a big celebration for Finns. In co-operation with YLE, the Finnish Broadcasting Company, Mint of Finland Ltd has produced a collector's coin set for the Eurovision Song Contest that will be held this year in Helsinki.

The coin set includes all Finland’s euro coins for 2007 (1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50 cent, as well as 1 and 2 euro). The 2 euro coin is the special edition minted on March 25 to commemorate theRoman Treaty. The series also includes a medal with the Eurovision Song Contest motif, designed by artist Erkki Vainio. A maximum of 20.000 coin series will be produced.

The coin set will be available on 10th April.Part of the coin sets’ sales income will be given through the YLE charity campaign to children in developing countries.The coin set can be ordered from Rahapaja Moneta or bought at the Finnish Postal Service Shops, the YLE Shop, Akateeminen Kirjakauppa in the Helsinki city centre, and several monetary shops.
