When it became publicly known that Kenan Dogulu would represent Turkey at the 52nd Eurovision Song Contest, the artist received numerous sponsorship proposals. Kenan, who had not co-operated with any company outside his concert tours for fifteen years, was sceptical about the proposals as he wanted to be very careful if he was to associate his name with a particular brand. Kenan has agreed with the sponsorship proposal of Turkcell, the largest telecommunication company in Turkey. In co-operation with Turkcell the artist will give more than twenty concerts, including many concerts for charity. Turkcell is currently supporting the Kardelen project which helps students in Eastern Turkey. Turkish diva Sezen Aksu, one of Kenan’s best friends is also supporting the project.
Kenan will compose a single and play in the commercials of the company, singing the song Cani sikilan adam (The man who is bored). The artist said that he is happy with the co-operation of such a strong company and that he believes they will accomplish successful and amusing projects together.
