Fotis Sergoulopoulos and Maria Bakodimou have agreed with ERT to be the official commentators for the Greek TV in Helsinki. Fotis and Maria, the popular TV couple, also hosted the Greek final on February 28th.

Although Fotis and Maria received a lot of bad press for their presentation of the Greek final, they have agreed to be this year’s commentators in Helsinki. This must be a dream come true for Fotis Sergoulopoulos who is a life-long dedicated fan of the contest.

ERT, the Greek broadcaster, has scheduled three special Eurovision shows to be broadcast in April and early May. The first two will feature the 42 video clips of the participating songs and the third one, to be broadcast right before the contest, will be entirely dedicated to Sarbel.

Stay tuned for the big Sarbel competition tomorrow when you will have the chance to win cd’s signed by the artist himself!

Thanks to Johnny Logan and Hold me now I fell in love with the Eurovision Song Contest, a love that's been going strong ever since with undiminished passion. My first memories date back to 1977 and the lyrics of Rock bottom, Dschinghis Khan and A ba ni bi are still engraved in my brain. I joined esctoday.com in 2006 as a junior editor after being invited by Barry Viniker, I soon became Senior Editor and during the 2007 contest in Helsinki I was appointed Head of Communications. Today I hold the post of Head of Human Resources and I am proud to be working with the best editorial team in the world.
