Since the 5th of August the exhibition company Prima has started constructions in order to renovate the Olympic Skonto hall for the Eurovision song contest final.

In charge of this project is the architect Maris Malahovskis. In the main hall there will be 6000 seats for the viewers, places for commentators and place for offices. The press centre, the “after party” place, the conference places, storerooms, wardrobes and make-up rooms, restaurants and a cafe will be placed in the three new halls of the complex.

After the works, Skonto hall will have become the biggest such type complex in the Baltic states. The total cost of this construction will be almost 14 million dollars.
