Eirikur Hauksson and Iceland is ready to rock Helsinki with the song called Valentine lost. RUV, the Icelandic broadcaster, has published both the English version and the video on their website which also offers a lot of background material in English, French and of course Icelandic.
RUV has created a very informative website which gives the readers the opportunity to listen to the song in both its original Icelandic version and the new English version which will be used for the Eurovision Song Contest. Lyrics for both versions can also be found on the website along with a lot of background material on Eirikur and the songwriters.

47- year old Eirikur Hauksson has previously participated in the Eurovision Song Contest. He was one part of the trio Icy which was chosen as Iceland’s first contribution to the contest. In 1991 he entered for Norway with Just 4 Fun. He has been living in Norway for many years, but this year it will be his native Iceland enjoying his very strong voice. The song Valentine lost will be competing in the semi-final due to Silvia Night not managing to reach the final last year in Athens.
Eirikur will have a very busy time leading up to the contest in Helsinki as it has just been announced that he willonce again be the Icelandic "expert" in the Nordic preview shows.
