Today: The Shin and Mariko’s song premiere in Georgia

GPB, the national Georgian broadcaster has announced that the premiere of the  2014 Georgian  entry Three Minutes to earth  will be held today, Friday 14 March.

The Shin and Mariko Ebralidze’s Eurovision entry’s official videoclip will be aired on GPB 1 on Friday 14 March during GPB’s Morning Television Show.

The shooting of the 2014 Georgian entry Three Minutes To Earth was held on March 5 and 6 at the Natakhtari Airfield. Outfits for the Georgian reopresentatives have been  designed by Avtandil Tskvitinidze and Datuna Sulikashvili. Whilst Jiji Rejini has been in charge o the promotional photographic coverage of The Shin and Mariko.

The stage performance and the official Georgian 2014 videodlip for The Shin & Mariko, the Georgian 2014 Eurovision contenders has been directed by Tamar Photskhishvili (Artististic Designer) and Basa Potskhishvili (Filmmaker). The videoclip of the song was filmed and produced in Georgia.

The Shin and Mariko Ebralidze were selected by GBP via an internal selection to represent Georgia at the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest in  Copenhagen. The famous Georgian folk band The Shin has composed the 2014 Georgian entry.

The Shin & Mariko have recorded the 2014 Georgian Eurovision entry at the Scb Music Studio in Stuttgart, Germany. The Georgian entry has been composed by Zaza Miminoshvili, member of The Shin, whilst Eugen Eliu is behind the lyrics of the entry.

The Shin and Mariko describe their song-

It describes the last three minutes of a long walk back to Earth, back home. The song is about feelings and thoughts you have when you return, and it also tries to answer the question how the earth sounds at the moment.

In 2013 GPB opted for an internal selection when Sopho Gelovani and Nodi Tatishvili were selected to fly the Georgian flag in Malmo with Thomas G.sson’s Waterfall, achieving a 15th place in the final.

Georgia debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2007 with Sopho Khalvashi‘sVisionary Dream. The country is yet to win the event and their  best placing at the contest has been a 9th place in 2010 with Sopho Nizharadze‘s Shine and in 2011 with Eldrine‘s One more day.
