Ràdio i Televisió d'Andorra and Georgian TV and Radio Broadcasting were accepted at the General Assembly as an active EBU member and an associate EBU member respectively with immediate effect. The European Broadcasting Union report this at their website.

At the EBU Administrative Council meeting in Warsaw last May it was set that the aforementioned state broadcasters fulfil the conditions necessary for admission to the EBU (national TV households served, varied programming, own productions, etc.).

The EBU has now seventy active members from fify-two countries in Europe and the Middle East, and forty-five associate members in twenty-eight other countries. It is not likely that Andorra and Georgia are going to show interest in participatiion in the Eurovision Song Contest.
