The fourth semi-final of Melodifestivalen 2014, the hugely popular Swedish music festival, whose winner gets to represent Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest, has just ended. Two acts were voted directly to the final and two will try again in the Andra Chansen (Second Chance) round on 1 March 2014.

The 8 participants competing tonight were:

  1. Alcazar – Blame It On the Disco
  2. I.D.A – Fight Me If You Dare
  3. Janet Leon – Hollow
  4. Ammotrack – Raise Your Hands
  5. Josef Johansson – Hela natten (All night)
  6. Linda Bengtzing – Ta mig (Take me)
  7. Ellinore Holmer – En himmelsk sång (A heavenly song)
  8. Anton Ewald – Natural

Straight to the Grand Final on 8 March:

  • Anton Ewald
  • Alcazar

Straight to Andra Chansen on 1 March:

  • Ammotrack
  • Ellinore Holmer

The Swedish selection consists of 6 rounds. Now that all semi-finals have taken place, the 3rd and 4th placed acts from each semi-final will compete in the Andra Chansen (second chance) round  and the top 2 placed acts from Andra Chansen as voted by the Swedish public will proceed to the final .

The final will be held on March 8 at the Friends Arena in Stockholm, where a total of 10 acts will battle for the golden ticket to Copenhagen 2014.
