Tonight the third – red – heat was supposed to be held in Lithuania. Since some artist have withdrawn, only the songs will be presented but there is no voting. All songs are directly qualified for the semi finals which will start next week.
The show
The way Lithuania will select their 2007 representative apeears to be a winding road. Actually, three quarter finals were supposed to take place, a 'green', a 'yellow' and 'red' one for newcomers, semi-established and established perfomers respectively. Since two of the singers who would have competed in the 'red' group have withdrawn, the songs of the third heat are directly qualified for the semi finals. Furthermore, the Litunianian broadcaster has also commissioned two entries to be directly qualified for the final.

In 2006, Lithuania achieved their best result in the contest so far: LT United finished 6th with We are the winners in the final. Therefore, the winner of the 2007 Lithuanian final will be directly qualified for the final in Helsinki.
