Last friday esctoday.com was invited to a award cermony at SVT to hand over the award for Best National Final 2006.
Melodifestivalen was voted the Best National Final in 2006 by our readers in the first annual esctoday.com Awards. SVT was thrilled when they heard about this and invited Matthias as the Head of Communications of esctoday.com to come to the TV-centre to hand over the award.
When esctoday.comarrived at the TV-centre we were met by the whole production team behind this years Melodifestivalen. Helena Brodén as Pressmanager was joining in as well. And if this wasn't enought they had invited a couple of other jounarnalists as well to cover this award cermony.
The project manager from last year Christel Willers recieved the Award from Matthias after a short speech where we told the story behind the award and that Melodifestivalen was the most popular national pre-selection in 2006. They where thrilled to recieve the award and are sending the readers of esctoday the best wishes and a big thankyou for this award.
Christer Björkman and Martin Österdahl told esctoday.com that they would do their best to make Melodifestivalen 2007 even better then in 2006. Tomorrow we will see if this is the case when the first semi-final kicks of as SVT channel 1 at 8 a clock. You can also listen to the songs on radio from today until tomorrow night before the shows starts.
