The songs that are going to comete in the second Icelandic semi final to be held next Saturday are now online on the official website of broadcaster RUV. will take place on Saturday 17th February. The first semi final took place on 20th January and the others will follow on 27th January and 3rd February. The top three songs out of each qualifier round (chosen by televoting) move forward to the final. Ragnhildur Steinunn Jónsdóttir will host the shows.

Eiríkur Hauksson was a member of the group ICY, the very first Icelandic representatives back in 1986. The finished 16th with Gleðibankinn. In 1991, he took part for Norway as part Just4Fun, finishing 17th with Mrs. Thompson. Jón Jósep Snæbjörnsson is the real name of Jónsi, who represented Iceland in the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest, finishing 17th with Heaven.
