Monrose, who are going to take part in the 2007 German national final are currently in the studio recording the song they are going to compete with. Therefore it now turns out that they will present a new song that is not taken from their first album Temptation that was launched in December, which was widely expected.

Senna, one of the three singers told to a German newspaper: "I think we will manage it. I have the feeling that we shall take home the trophy." It was not revealed what the song would be like but Senna said: "I would fancy a ballad." Bahar also thinks that Monrose could suceed in the German final – and in Helsinki: "We are youg, we are fresh, we have good voices, we can make a good performance and I think that we touch the hearts of our fans."

Three acts are going to compete in the selection to be held on 8th March in Hamburg, hosted by Thomas Hermanns: Monrose and Roger Cicero (who will sing Frauen regieren die Welt – Women rule the world) are already confirmed as participants. A third act is yet to be revealed.

Germany finished shared 14th in the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest final with Texas Lightning and No no never. Nevertheless, they are directly qualified for the final in Helsinki as part of the big 4.
