Today, Montenegrin broadcaster, RTCG, confirmed that Montengero will choose it's first Eurovision Song Contest entry as an independent country through Montevizija but in different way, to it's previous format. Montevizija was the Montenegrin semi final that produced the region's finalists for the Serbia-Montenegro final Evropesma until 2006, whilst Serbia's semi-final was called Beovizija.

As Montenegro makes its debut as an independent country at the Eurovision Song Contest, RTCG will choose artist internally, and invite a select few composers to write songs. In that way viewers will choose song in a national final with the singer predetermined.

Early public and media favourites point towards Slaven Knezović and Milan Perić (composers of No Name – Zauvijek Moja, Eurovision Song Contest 2005, 7th place), Miha Radonjić, Momčilo Zekić and Mirsad Serhatlićg.
