Rosa, who represented Spain at the 2002 Eurovision Song Contest in Tallinn with Europe's living a celebration, has become one of the Spanish music industry's best selling artists. Recently she's been recognize for her music, dancing, and has even tried her hand at acting. Fans in Spain will have a number of opportunities to see her in concert in the coming months.
Rosa shot to fame back in 2002 when she conquered everyones heart and won the 1st edition of Operacion Triunfo, which gave her a chance to represent Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest. She has gone places since her Operacion Triunfo days and has become one of Spain's most sought after artists. Rosa has a totally new look today as she has revamped her image completely. The new Rosa is slim, sexy, trendy and sophisticated.
Rosa is a multi talented artist. Apart from having a great voice, she has had a try at dancing, participating in the Mira Quien Baila dance contest (Look Whos Dancing), where she once again took the country by stormto win the the competition. She is very popular in Spain an is many times referred to as 'Rosa de Espana' ( Spain's Rose).
Last week Rosa appeared in the famous comedy show Cruz y Raya (which is aired on TVE), where she premiered her new single Mas Alla, which is included in her latest album Me siento viva. This album has been very warmly received by the Spanish public, making it into a chart topper. TVE recently held a special gala show to elect the best albums and songs in Spain in 2006. The Spanish public voted the " Best album of the year" in Spain to Rosa's Me siento viva. David Bisbal, La Oreja de Van Gogh, Paulina Rubio and Manuel Carrasco were among the other candidates for this award.
Rosas latest album was recorded at theTen Productions Studios in Barcelona and produced by Xaski and Toni Ten, the same guys behind her Eurovision entry in 2002. The 14 songs in this album were mixed and arrangedat two of the best recording studios in the world: The Cove City Sound in New York and The Hitvision Studios in Sweden.
Rosa will be giving a concert in Pulianas, Granada on the 3rd of February. She has also been invited as aguestto the Noroeste Song Festival in Galdar (Gran Canaria), Canary Islands which is scheduled to be held on the 21st of April 2007.
Rosa has released 4 albums so far: Rosa (2002), Ahora (2003), Ojala (2004) and Me Siento Viva(2006). Rosa has matured both as a singer and as a person since her Operacion Triunfo days. She has gained both recognition and fame in Spain. At the 2002 Contest in Talinn, Rosa finished 7th (on 81 points) with Europe's living a celebration.
