OGAE Germany will be holding their 2007 convention on Saturday, January 20th at the Landhaus Walther inn in Hamburg. Special guests for the evening will be Mihai Traistariu who represented Romania in the Athens 2006 Eurovision Song Contest and Jacqueline Boyer, winner of the Grand Prix Eurovision 1960 and many more who will be announced later.

Update: More Eurovision Song Contest stars will be guest at the convention: Anabel Conde, who was runner-up for Spain in the 1995 contest with Vuelve conmigo. Cindy Berger represented Germany in 1974 as part of the duo Cindy & Bert and came last with Die Sommermelodie. The duo also took part in the German finals in 1972 (Geh' die Straße, 2nd) and 1973 (Wohin soll' ich geh'n, 8th / Zwei Menschen und ein Weg, 9th). CIndy Berger also took part in the German final stwice as soloist, in 1988 (Und Leben will ich auch, 2nd) and 1991 (Nie allein, 7th).
A record fair will take place right before the meeting at the same location (opening at 2.30 pm). The event itself will be starting at 4 pm with performances by German and international Eurovision stars, Mihai Traistariu and Jaqueline Boyer have already been confirmed but there will be more, awaiting confirmation. Also there will be a karaoke contest, a tombola game and tons of other surprises such as the Special Awards for outstanding Eurovision acts.
The Convention is organised by the Hamburg section of OGAE Germany.The entrance fee is €30 for members and €35 for non members. Rich buffet is included.
