well, that's it! The first annual esctoday.com awards poll is now closed! With a spectacular number of readers voting in the awards, esctoday.com would like to thank everyone that took part. The results are being checked and the certificates are being prepared, the full list of winners will be announced here later today! In three categories, only a single vote separated the top two nominees!

Yes, it's all over, the poll has closed after a frantic ten days of frenzied love-giving. Fans have made their choices, tried to avenge their disappointment from May… or reaffirm their delight!

It would be fair to say that there are one or two surprises in store with some of the categories being closer than a knife's edge! The 'regional partner of the year award' was a very tight affair, the top three websites were just three votes apart! In the 'Song of the Year', 'Best Female Performance at a National Final' (that didn't qualify for the Eurovision Song Contest) and the regional partner categories, the top two were separated by one single vote!

As we prepare the results for publication, we invite the readers of esctoday.com to sit back and enjoy our selection of Interval acts below! Two are from the Eurovision Song Contest (well, we really had to), and the the third is something slightly different. It is from Parodi Grand Prix in Norway – more to come on this fantastic competition next year! So without further ado, let the festive look back at some of the most memorable interval acts begin!

1974 Interval Act: The Wombles (UK)

1994 Interval Act: Riverdance (Ireland)
