Norwegian broadcaster, NRK, will reveal the performers for their Eurovision Song Contest selection show, Melodi Grand Prix, over three weeks. The dates for the artist announcements has now been confirmed. 14 of the 18 songs were announced on November 13th and were published on esctoday.com however the artists have not yet been named.
In total 18 entries fights for a ticket to neighbouring Finland in may 2007 and they will compete in three semi finals. NRK will reveal the artists over three weeks, each week revealing the semi finalists for one semi-final.
The annoucements will be made on consecutive Wendesdays:
- 1st semi-final line-up will be revealed: Wednesday 27th December 2006
- 2nd semi-final line-up will be revealed: Wednesday 2nd January 2007
- 3rd semi-final line-up will be revealed: Wednesday 9th January 2007
The dates of the Melodi Grand Prix shows are:
- 1st semi final Date: 20th January 2007
- 2nd semi final Date: 27th January 2007
- 3rd semi final Date: 3rd February 2007
- Second chance round: Date: 8th February 2007
- Final Date: 10th February 2007
