Lena Philipsson, whose performance as the hostess of Melodifestival 2006 was praised by everyone' will have a role in next year�s show as well. The 2004 winner will join this year's host, Kristian Luuk for some 'content inserts'. Lena has already filmed a few inserts with him so Lena Philipsson humour will do a welcome come back on Melodifestival stage.
Lena Philipsson, who is a real Melodifestival veteran both as an artist and as a co-hostess, represented Sweden in Istanbul 2004 with It hurts and gained respectable 5th place.She hosted Melodifestival 2006 and will be involved somehow next year as well. It is yet unsure if she will be seen live on stage or just featured in the most likely humourous inserts.
“Yes, we have met with Lena and have already filmed a thing or two” says Kristian Luuk, this year’s host. “We don’t know yet how it’s going to be, we are toying with a lot of ideas and surely something will come out of them..” Kristian and his team, who will start working full time for Melodifestival right after the New Year have also recently visited Finland and some material was shot in Helsinki’s Hartwall Areena where the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 will be staged in May.
“I will also terrorise the artists in the Green room, something Lena didn’t do last year. I guess that’s what I am expected anyways. I will do what I am known for” concludes Kristian who is a well known comic from TV4.Lena is also busy prepairing her new show with Orop (writer of It hurts and singer himself) in Stockholm’s Chinateater in January. It’s a humorous show directed by Felix Herngren, who is also involved in Melodifestival 2007 preparations. “I’m going to have really cool wardrobe and just have fun with Orop on stage” Lena says. The premier is 26th January 2007.
