Those lucky enough to be in the Roscommon Arts Centre on Friday 24th November will have the chance to watch the live performance of Eurovision 1994 winner Charlie McGettigan in concert.

Charlie’s concert is part of the nationwide promotion tour for his new album Stolen Moments, which was produced by non other than Bil Vorndick, the 42 time Grammy nominated Nashville producer.

Since his victory in 1994 representing Ireland with Rock an’ Roll kids together with Paul Harrington, Charlie has pursued a solo career releasing many popular songs in Ireland and abroad such as Feet of a Dancer and A Bed for the Night. The new album, from which Giving Away My Money comes, includes 13 tracks, many of which were written by Charlie himself and is expected to be a great hit with Charlie’s fans.

Tickets for the show are priced at €20. The show begins at 8p.m. and bookings can be made by contacting 090 6625824.

Thanks to Johnny Logan and Hold me now I fell in love with the Eurovision Song Contest, a love that's been going strong ever since with undiminished passion. My first memories date back to 1977 and the lyrics of Rock bottom, Dschinghis Khan and A ba ni bi are still engraved in my brain. I joined esctoday.com in 2006 as a junior editor after being invited by Barry Viniker, I soon became Senior Editor and during the 2007 contest in Helsinki I was appointed Head of Communications. Today I hold the post of Head of Human Resources and I am proud to be working with the best editorial team in the world.
