Fabrizio Faniello, who represented Malta twice in the Eurovision Song Contest, has been in Asia. He started his trip by visiting China, where he took part in the ninth edition of the prestigious Asian Music Festival that was held in late October. Performing his hit I'm in love and a brand new song from his repertoire, he won the award of Best male perfomer during the festival. The day after, he sang at an open-air concert in Shanghai.

Succesful in Indonesia
The next country Fabrizio visted was Indonesia. In Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, he was cordially welcomed by the managing director and employees from his local record company Nagaswara. Later, he received another euphoric welcome by media during a press conference. All the local TV stations and several representatives from radio and press attented the event to get to know the Maltese star.

The song I'm in love is a big hit in Indonesia at the moment – the single even reached the top of the single charts. Last year, Heavenly already reached the Top 20. MTV Asia is not only playing the video of I'm in love but also his Eurovision Song Contest entry I do. The album Believe will be published on 15th November.

All in all, Fabrizio Faniello performed three live gigs in Indonesia and his stay was so succesful that a tour with ten concerts in ten Indonesian cities is planned for early 2007.

Fabrizio Faniello finished 9th in the 2001 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Another summer night. This year, he returned to the competition, only finishing 24th – last -in the final round in Athens with I do.
