The Portuguese version of the “Sound of the Music” musical (which is Portuguese is named “Música no Coração”) has the participation of two former Portuguese peformers at the Eurovision Song Contest: Lúcia Moniz, who took part in 1996 with O meu coração não tem cor and Anabela, who performed A cidade até ser dia in 1993.
Anabela and Lúcia Moniz are now wearing Maria's clothes, in order to play the main role of the show. Both Eurovision Song Contest performers' appearance will be made on separate days depending on each's schedule. Lúcia is also taking part at a soap opera, whereas Anabela continues taking classes to improve her performances (for which she moved to Lisbon) and is living at an hotel near the Politeama Theatre.
This musical is produced by La Féria, who became the most popular producer of musicals in Lisbon. An average of 6 million people have watched his shows. "Música No Coração" is on Politeama theatre from Tuesday to Sunday, but the tickets are sold out till the end of the year.
