Ira is wondering everything and everybody (pics!)

Maltese singer Ira Losco claims that though Malta has done well at many Eurovisions, they have never won the contest because it's too small country to have many “friends” to vote for them. Still she is hard not to be in love with.

The advice Ira received from Maltese entries from previous years was simple. “They told me to enjoy myself on stage,” she said. Ira was certainly enjoying herself at the press conference too.

Whenever a question was asked relating the song, she performed a few lines of it – even she didn't always know all the lyrics! But she remembered enough to sing refrains of “I Can't Live Without Music” and “Europe's Living Celebration”, the German and Spanish entries respectively.”The words are a problem – I'll probably forget '7th Wonder' next year ” she joked, and the lyricist Gerard James Borg mimed strangling her for saying so!

Ira said that she felt comfortable during her second rehearsal. She was satisfied with the staging of the song – she starts on the main stage and by the end of the song she has moved to the catwalk. “It gives you a warmer feeling, when you're singing the song, because you go closer to the people,” she explained.
