Ismeta Dervoz, Head of Delegation, said that Bosnia is happy to participate in ESC along with every other country. Dervoz said that although Bosnia has not yet won the contest, every year is a winner for Bosnia because of the honour of being able to participate.
Like several other songs, this year Bosnia will be performing theirs half in English and half in their native language. Dervoz said that the trend in previous years has been to perform songs solely in English.
“We want to participate – but we want to be Bosnians, ” she added. “I hope that one day again in the competition everybody will sing in native languages and we will also have an orchestra.”
