Johnny Logan's management company, Zipgate, has confirmed to esctoday.com that talks between RTE to represent Ireland for a third time at the Eurovision Song Contest have taken place. Johnny was quoted as saying that he had ben asked to participate for Ireland again in 2007.

Speaking to esctoday.com this afternoon, Johnny's management company Zipgate informed esctoday of the actual situation:

"We have had initial contactbutI don't think he'll do it. We have not had a definite offer from RTE. He certainly isn't going to do it at the moment and if there was a bookie that was taking bets, I'd bet against it. If things change, we will let esctoday.com know".

Johnny's collaboration with Kaye Styles has led to a chart entry position of 25 this week in Ireland. It is a long way below what many expected, with Paddy Power bookmakers offering 4/7 on odds that the double-A side CD Dont cry / Hold me now and I love to party / What's another year would hit the number one spot.
