Detailed information about tickets for the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 can be expected very soon, according to YLE's Information Manager Pirjo Talvio, who spoke to Finnish newspaper Iltalehti today.

The eagerly anticipated details on ticket numbers and pricing could be given as early as this week, according to Ms Talvio, who suggested that information would be released by next week "at the latest".

Demand even greater
Tickets for the Eurovision Song Contest final 2006 in Athens sold out within an hour, after several false starts and record volumes of Internet traffic to the ticket outlet sites. The rush for Helsinki is expected to be even greater, due to the venue being slightly smaller in capacity to the OAKA hall of the 2006 contest.

It had already been announced that ticket sales will commence in December, but soon fans should know the exact date, and the name of the ticketing partner who will coordinate the sale online.
