Singer/songwriter, Andreas Johnson, who won the Melodifestivalen 2006 jury vote with the song Sing for me, is competing again this year with A little bit of love . He wrote and recorded it on the deadline for the submission of songs for Melodifestivalen 2007, but he may not turn out to be the singer at the competition next year.

Andreas says in his diary that he does not really have the time to get involved in “the Eurovision race” this year. He is extremely happy that the song qualified but he is not sure if he will be performing it himself. His priority for next year is to pursue an international career and being involved in Eurovision just won’t leave enough time.

Andreas’ career is really looking up. Although now based in New York City, the popular Swedehas been nominated by the SMFF ( Swedish Music Publishing Association) for "best song of the year" Award, as well as for "best male artist" at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards. Of course it remains to be seen what SVT will finally decide should Andreas decline to perform after all, since he is the artist performing the song on the demo.

Thanks to Johnny Logan and Hold me now I fell in love with the Eurovision Song Contest, a love that's been going strong ever since with undiminished passion. My first memories date back to 1977 and the lyrics of Rock bottom, Dschinghis Khan and A ba ni bi are still engraved in my brain. I joined esctoday.com in 2006 as a junior editor after being invited by Barry Viniker, I soon became Senior Editor and during the 2007 contest in Helsinki I was appointed Head of Communications. Today I hold the post of Head of Human Resources and I am proud to be working with the best editorial team in the world.
