After much speculation over possible names for the Swiss entry at the 2007 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, another candidate has been added to the mix in the form of Cuban-born singer Lynn.
The announcement was made on Lynn's official website, and she joins DJ Bobo, rapper Gimma and rocker Dani Kandbauer, who have all been touted by fans and press alike as potential candidates for the confederation. According to reports, Lynn already has a song written and ready for Switzerland's Eurovision Song Contest selection, with lyrics in English. As composer and author of the entry, she is said to be counting on the opportunity to relaunch her career in Switzerland, although uncertainty reigns over her eligibility, given the requirement for Swiss candidates to have achieved a top 50 hit during the last year.
Lynn, 33, is a singer-songwriter who made her musical debut at the age of 9 in her native Cuba. You can find out more about her on her official website at this link .
Due to Six4One's poor performance for Switzerland in Athens, the country finds itself in the semifinal in Helsinki next year.
