In 2007, Greetje Kauffeld, who represented the Netherlands in the 1961 Eurovision Song Contest, will celebrate her 50th jubilee as a singer. On this occasion, her well illustrated memoirs called Was für Tage… (What days…) will be released in German by MaveriX publishers.
According to her official website, you can read in the book about howshe became singer of the Skymasters as a 16-year-old, how she succeeded as a pop singer in Germany during the sixties, then tried to gain ground in the US show business and after her return evolved into a European jazz star of worldwide reputation.Greetje wrote her biography together with Ingo Schiweck, a journalist from Germany. Greetje Kauffeld finished 10th in the 1961 Eurovision Song Contest presenting Wat een dag (What a day). She also took part in several Dutch national finals in the fifties and sixties.
