464 songs have been submitted to Norwegian broadcaster NRK for the 2007 national final. More than half of the entries were submitted by different composers from neighbouring country Sweden.
The amount ofentries is less than last year when NRK received 585 songs. 18 songs will compete in three semi finals, two songs out of each will directly qualify for the final. The third and fourth placed songs will enter a second chance round. Therefore, eightentries will be presented in the final round on 10th February.
In Helsinki, Norway will have to compete in the semi final since Christine Gulbrandsen finished 14th in the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest final with Alvedansen.
