Since the announcement of 28 of the song titles to compete in Melodifestivalen 2007, there has been much speculation as to which artists may be performing which songs. According to escsweden.com, another familiar face from the past could be in the line up, this time surprisingly, it is 69 year old, Svante Thuresson.

The veteran singer, Svante Thuresson, came second in the Eurovision Song Contest 1966 with the song Nygammal vals, which he performed alongside Lill Lindfors. The latter also made a comeback to the contest, when she presented the 1985 contest in Gothenburg.

Svante is tipped to sing the song Fortsa gangen (First time) by the songwriting team of Bobby Ljunggren, Dan Sundqvist and Sonja Allden. Esctoday sources have confirmed that it is possible that he will sing the song, but a final decision has not been made.

It has to be stressed at this stage that no final decisions or official announcements have been made regarding the artists who will perform the 28 songs named so far, and there will still be a further four songs to add to the list, as wildcard entries.
