Last night, at Tivoli auditorium in Lisbon, RTP made its choice for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Pedro Madeira, performing song number 5 Deixa-me sentir, won it with 22% of the votes.
This show hosted by Jorge Gabriel and Helena Coelho had 10 songs in competition, as follows:
1 – Só eu sei – Mariana António
2 – HRP (História e rapugrafia de Portugal) – Gustavo Almeida, Guilherme Salgueiro, Diogo Farias
3 – Ouve o teu coração e canta -Trio da Pop
4 – Só quero um mundo melhor – Tiago Batista
5 – Deixa-me sentir – Pedro Madeira
6 – Há sempre uma canção – Marisa Almeida
7 – Uma canção fora de moda – Ana Rita Ribeiro
8 – Tudo o que penso – Daniela Pinto
9 – Nas noites de Paris – Bárbara Pinho
10 – Sonho de verão – João Ferreira
Song number 7 reached 3rd place with 12% of the votes, whereas song number 9 scored 19% of the votes. With 22% of the votes, Pedro Madeira is going to represent RTP for the very first time at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest on 2nd December, in Bucharest, Romania.
For the international viewers, the show will be broadcast on RTP Internacional, on 6th October, at 22.30 CET
