Greek broadcaster ERT has been compelled to extend the submission deadline for its Junior Eurovision Song Contest entry due to scant interest in the event, it was reported today.

The orginal cut-off date was marked in the diary for July 28th, although due to lack of support so far, this has been moved back to Friday, August 4th to give hesitant potential competitors a chance to send in their contributions. Key to the decision was the lack of Greek media interest in the contest, and the lack of promotion on the part of the broadcaster, according to reports.
