The annual Heads of Delegation meeting will take place on 11 and 12 March in Helsinki. Traditionally, the draw for the running order will take place on the second day of the meetings. YLE also confirmed some basic details regarding the production of the show.
Budget
The budget for the next contest is approximately 13 million euros. Participating broadcasters will learn over the coming months how much it will cost to secure a place in the line-up. Once again, broadcasters from Spain, France, the United Kingdom and Germany will pay the lion's share of the costs, which guarantuees them a spot in the finals.
Staging
YLE also announced today that, although they will partly import hardware to stage the show, they will not be bringing in contractors to support the overall production.
