The viewing figures of last night's semifinal doubled in the United Kingdom. BBC sources revealed that to esctoday.com.

The high increase on the UK viewing figures is remarkable, as ratings in the 'Big4' countries mostly dropped over the past years.

In the Netherlands, where the popularity of the Eurovision Song Contest decreases after a second drop-out from the semifinal, approximately 1,4 million people saw last night's show (on 16 million inhabitants). In Flanders, the Dutch-speaking part of Belgium, 1,1 million people saw the show.
