We already knew that one participant from last years semifinal, Angelica Agurbash will be attending the Eurovision Song Contest in Athens this year as a fan. Now we can reveal that a second participant from the 2005 semifinal will be arriving in Athens, and she will be participating with the Icelandic entry once again! Selma is back!

Selma Bjornsdottir who’s entry shocked the Eurovision Song Contest community by failing to qualify for the 2005 final will be in Athens to choreograph this year’s entry for Silvia Night! Having finished in second place at in 1999, and being one of the most fan-friendly participants in recent years, Selma is still hugely popular amongst fans of the competition.

Selma’s husband, Rinar Freys Gislasson, is one of the dancers for Silvia’s entry, Congratulations! Last year, Selma was accompanied on stage by her sister as one of her backing group.

We have learned that the Icelandic performance will be ‘exceptional’, and that many props and features for the stage are being shipped out from Iceland for the display. We will report more on this during the rehearsals later this week.

We hope to have an exclusive interview with Selma later this week, so stay tuned to esctoday.com!
