Although most Eurovision Song Contest participants will fly to Athens already next week, a lot of them are still taking advantage of the time they have to promote their song throughout Europe. But where are the stars of Athens 2006? An update!
Treble from the Netherlands visited the French capital Paris to promote their song Amambanda. The major of their city of origin, Valkenburg, also came to Paris to support Treble and his city, one of this year's Tour de France cities as well!
Anna Vissi (photo), who is widely tipped to bring Greece its second consecutive victory, visited the Netherlands, where she appeared in a popular Greek restaurant and gave several interviews. In De Telegraaf she said that "although countries hardly ever win twice in a row", she already knows she took "the right decision to represent Greece". Carola, Brian Kennedy and Fabrizio visited Croatiato promote their songs for the upcoming contest. Michal Wisniewski, lead singer of the Polish representatives Ich Troje, visited host country Greece, where Follow my heart already reached the playlists of several radio stations. Lithuania, Belarus, Germany and Turkey are the next stops on his promotion tour.
While Russian candidate Dima Bilan visited Israel earlier this week, Cypriot singer Annet Artani visited Turkey to sing in a show together with Sibel Tuzun, who surprised the audience with the Greek version of Super star.
Kate Ryan paid a visit to Germany, where she performed Je t'adore in a show on Sat1. On 12th May, her Eurovision Song Contest single will be released in the German speaking countries. Next country on Kate's tour schedule is Switzerland.
