The ex ABBA member Bjön Ulvaeus has been accused of avoiding paying 87 million Swedish crowns (9,4 million ) in taxes on his songs and musicals

According to BBC, the Swedish government has demanded that Björn repay the money which was not included in the correct royalties on tax returns from 1999-2003.The Swedish tax agency accused Ulvaeus of unclear financial moves but Ulvaeus’ lawyer told a Swedish paper that the tax agency did not understand the musician’s tax arrangements: “We will explain to the tax authority how this was done. I don’t think they have managed to understand how this has worked.”

ABBA have sold 370 million records and Ulvaeus also co-wrote the musical “Mamma Mia” which is reported to be filmed by Tom Hanks soon. Moreover, ABBA hits are due to be made available as mobile phone ringtones for the first time. When asked about a return of ABBA, Ulvaeus said the group would never stage a reunion as their “creativity” together had gone.
