OGAE Norway are preparing to treat eurofans to a day of Eurovision celebrations at a special event this Saturday. Amongst the highlights will be a mock Eurovision Song Contest full of fun and tongue-in-cheek humour, featuring Queentastic's Geir Lillejord as one of the contestants, performing as his alter-ego Berit Bislet.

The first part of the day will be a traditional OGAE meeting, packed with activities to celebrate the contest. An appearance by Christine Guldbrandsen, the 2006 representative for Norway, is rumoured, although has not yet been confirmed.

As the meeting ends, preparations will begin for the comedy contest to be held in the evening. The Parodi Grand Prix promises lots of laughs, silly dance routines and funny costumes as a musical line-up perform songs from the past contests and national selections. 2006 contestant Geir Lillejord, who sang Absolutely fabulous to third place at this year's Melodi Grand Prix as one half of Queentastic, will be performing the 1989 Norwegian entry Venners nærhet. One of the jurors is former Norwegian representative Ellen Nikolaysen (Norway 1975 and 1973 as one of the Bendik Singers). The full list of performances is as follows:

Melody 1: Let's get happy, Germany 2003 Artist: Jenny Jensen
Melody 2: I'm never giving up, UK 1983 Artist: Sweeter Dreams

The Eurovision jamboree will take place at the John Dee Concert Arena in Oslo this Saturday, 22nd April. The main event starts at 1400 CET, with tickets at the door costing 150 NOK for members of OGAE Norway and 200 NOK for others.
