After an evening of four possible entries for the Eurovision Song Contest, Greece has selected the song Everything by a huge majority for Anna Vissi to sing in Athens this May.

After opening with Greece's first ever Eurovision Song Contest entry of 1974, there was a special greeting from Helena, last year's winner for Greece, live from Sweden. There followed and evening of cabaret Greek Eurovision classics and the four contenders to represent the home country, sung by Anna Vissi herself.

Cypriot representative Annette Artani performed her entry for 2006, Why angels cry, and Turkish performer Sibel gave fans a treat with an English-Greek rendition of her entry for Athens. Norwegian contender Christine Guldbrandsen also gave a performance of her entry Alvedansen, while Mihai Traistariu performed Romania's hope for victory, Tornero.

As the winner of last year's contest, Greece is guaranteed a place in the final as the host nation. Greek star Anna will attempt to put Greece amongst the four countries that have managed back-to-back victories: Spain, Luxembourg, Israel and Ireland.
