Mihai Traistariu will represent Romania at the 51st Eurovision Song Contest with the uptempo song Tornero. After two nights of semifinals, Romania selected its 2006 Eurovision Song Contest representative tonight. 12 contestants took part, the winner has been chosen by televoters and an expert jury (50/50).
Mihai received 12 points from the jury and 10 points from the televoters. The complete results (jury and televoting points);
