In tonight's preliminary heat, a jury picked 12 out of 24 songs to take part in the Bulgarian national final, scheduled to take place on 11th March. The live TV show took place at the National Palace of Culture.
The following songs and performers qualified for the Bulgarian national final;

� Neda Karova & Da formation – Wish
� Sonya Todorova – Trust yourself
� Ani Lozanova – Shte te zapalia
� Ivailo Kolev – Every dream at night
� Mastilo – Next to you
� Vesela Boneva & Plamen Pytov – That's me
� Melody Traffic – Love that you can't see
� Geppy – A matter of time
� Big Mama Scandal – All this time
One of these hopefulls will represent Bulgaria at the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest in Athens, Greece. Due to Kaffe's disappointing result in Kyiv, this year's contestant takes part in the qualifier round on 18th May.
