Tonight, one day before the final of Eurosong 2006, the Eurosong Live on Stage event takes place in the Sea'rena in Oostende. During the show, the fourteen semifinalists will be on stage. A number of former Belgian Eurovision Song Contest representatives and Johnny Logan will be making their appearance too.
The show opens with a performance of Sandra Kim. This year the Belgians celebrate the 20th anniversary of her memorable Eurovision Song Contest victory in the Norwegian city of Bergen in 1986. Sandra will be followed by Nicole & Hugo and Johnny Logan, the most successful Eurovision Song Contest participant ever with two victories as a singer in 1980 and 1987, and one as a composer in 1992.
The seven finalists of Eurosong 2006 will then continue by performing a song from their own repertoire or an international hit. The seven who got stuck in the semifinals – Afi, Eve Kempbell, Jeason, Katerine, Peter Evrard, Roxane and Sonny O'Brien – are the next performers to take the stage.
Before the break, Liliane Saint-Pierre, Vanessa Chinitor and Xandee will be performing the song they represented Belgium with at the Eurovision Song Contest, respectively in 1987, 1999 and 2004.
The second part of Eurosong Live on Stage completely focuses on the seven songs left in the running for representing Belgium in Athens. Barbara Dex, Belle Perez, Brahim, Els de Schepper, La Sakhra, Kate Ryan and Kaye Styles will take the stage with their acts.
Those present in the Sea'rena will get another opportunity to listen carefully to all songs. By using voting forms, an exit poll will be organised in order to find out the favourite for Sunday's final.
Eurosong Live on Stage will end like every good show ends: with a big musical climax! Unfortunately, the spectacular event will not be aired on television or the web.
