Earlier today, Greek broadcaster ERT confirmed that tickets for the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest will go on sale by the end of the month. Main selling point will be the internet, which gives international fans the opportunity to quickly and easily buy tickets.

Executive Producer of the contest, Mrs. Fotini Giannoulatou, will give a press conference later this month during which the ticket sales will be further explained.

Roughly, about 100,000 tickets will be available for the semifinal rehearsals, the semifinal live show, the final rehearsals and the final live show. An approximate 15,000 people will be able to attend each event.
