Germany, France, Spain, Sweden, Estonia and even Belgium are named as possible winners of this year's Eurovision Song Contest. But what if they win the contest ?
The German broadcaster NDR is rich enough to organize a contest without financial problems. A possible location for the next Eurovision Song Contest seems to be the Ostseehalle in Kiel, where the national final has been held this year.
Every year, we hear Eurovision news from various broadcasters. But as we've never received any official messages from France 3 and there is not that many attention for the contest, it's very unpredictable what will happen if France wins the contest.
The Spanish broadcaster TVE had a golden egg with Operación Triunfo. The formula based on Big Brother and Popstars brought TVE (as rumours say) a nice amount of money. A possible location for the Eurovision Song Contest might be Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona, where the video of 'Europe's living a celebration' has been recorded.
Sweden will have a hard time if they win with 'Never let it go', as we already wrote in a previous news article. The high costs of the Eurovision Song Contest might even force SVT to change the concept of the national final. It is likely that the Globen Arena will be the venue for Eurovision 2003, in case they win.
Only a day after Estonia won, it was reported that ETV had not enough money to organize the contest. But with help of the governement, sponsors and volounteers they do a pretty good job. It might depend on the amount of positive attention if ETV can set up another Eurovision Song Contest, because it is not known yet wether the contest will cost or bring them money.
With a high-quality national final, Belgium seems to be ready for organizing the Eurovision Song Contest next year. Money won't be a problem for broadcaster VRT. A possible venue might be the Sportpaleis in Antwerpen.
