In the third heat of Eurosong 2006, seven participants competed for three semifinal tickets. Kate Ryan won, Kaye Styles and Peter Evrard, former Pop Idol winner, also qualified for one of the two semifinals.

The professional jury, consisting of Yasmine, Marcel Vanthilt, André Vermeulen and Johnny Logan, already gave its points. The points of the jury;

2. Kate Ryan – Je t'adore – 7+9+9+9+10= 44 points
3. Kaye Styles – Profile – 9+5+5+4+14= 37 points
4. Axel Devries – Alleen jij – 1+3+3+1+2= 10 points
5. Laura D – History turning round – 5+4+4+5+6= 24 points
6. Peter Evrard – Coward – 3+7+7+7+18= 42 points
7. Pim – I'm your man – 2+1+2+2+8= 15 points
